Bailey Sr., Omer Carl
Omer Carl Bailey, Sr., 74, of Walker, WV, passed away on March 6, 2013 at the Camden Clark Medical Center Memorial Campus.
He was born in Elizabeth, WV on February 27, 1938, one of twelve children of the late Obey Columbus and Pearl Gailey Bailey.
He enjoyed working on the farm and raising chickens and the companionship of his dog Muffet.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Jean Fury Bailey, their eight children Carl Bailey, Jr. and Barb, Rodney Bailey and Peggy, Susan Lemley and Rodney, Peanut Bailey and Tina, Doug Bailey and Cindy, Chuck Bailey and Jackie, Jeanie Bailey, Vickie Bailey, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and seven brothers and sisters Gary, Jackie, Bobbie, Ruth and Frank Bailey, Patty Parkers and Opal Lockhart and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter Peggy Bailey, two grandchildren and four brothers and sisters, Eddie Bailey, Marion Parker, Gladys Bowman and Ruby Bailey.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Rev. Larry Dale officiating. Burial will be at the Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 on Thursday and for one hour prior to the services on Friday.
