He was born in McFarlan, WV on January 18, 1952, a son of the late Charles Leonard and Lenore May Tingler Lanham.
Marvin had proudly served his country in the US Army and retired in 2002 from the Union Insulators Local #80 where he had worked for 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. He was a member of the American Legion Post #15 and past member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Marvin was a loving husband of forty one years to Kay Spurlock Lanham, devoted father to Tata See and John, Tonya Wells and Mike, and proud grandfather to Zac, Cody, Brooklys and will be greatly missed. He is also survived by his brothers Lennie Lanham and June, Roger Lanham and Kathy, sisters Alma Parker, Barb Dudding and Jimmy, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his brother Gene Lanham.
Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre is assisting the family with private cremation services, just as Marvin had requested. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced.
