Lucille Holbert, 91, of Parkersburg, died June 7, 2013 at the Worthington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 29, 1921 in Jane Lew, WV a daughter of the late Claude N. and Etta Boylen VanHorn.
She was a graduate of Jane Lew High School and St. Mary's School of Nursing in Clarksburg, WV. She was a member of Stout United Methodist Church, Upper Room Sunday School Class and Rebecca Circle.
She is survived by three children, Ken (Ann) Holbert, Diane (Dave) Chambers, Denise (Grant) DeGarmo all of Vienna; six grandchildren, Chrisy Nester, Brad Holbert, Benjamin Chambers, Stephen Chambers, Lauren DeGarmo, Jonathan DeGarmo; one great grandson, Dalton (Kim) Hodge; one great great granddaughter, Adalee Hodge; sister-in-law Margaret VanHorn of Charleston, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend John L. Holbert; one brother, Donzel VanHorn and two sisters, Lorraine Randolph and Eloise Holbert.
Services will be Tuesday 11:00 AM at Stout Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Russell and Reverend Roger Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
