Grave V. Pool, 98, former resident of Williamstown, passed away on Saturday (June 29, 2013) at 6:30 am at Pleasant View Health Care in Barberton, Ohio. She was born on October 18, 1914, in Washington County, Ohio, a daughter of John Fredrick Stegner and Ada Cleo Sutton Stegner. Grace was the oldest surviving member of First United Methodist Church in Williamstown.


On March 16, 1938, she married Frank B. Pool who preceded her in death on February 13, 2001.


She is survived by 2 daughters: Sandra Williams of New Franklin, OH, and Carol Bickel of South Charleston, WV; 6 grandchildren: Stephen (Kathy) William, Michele (Steven) Carpenter, Michael (Pamela) Williams, Shawn Williams (James Keller), Kelly (Joe) Gourley, Tracey Prouse; 11 grandchildren: Jeremy Carpenter, Amanda Carpenter, Emilie Carpenter, Andrew Carpenter, Nicholas Williams, Joshua Williams, Estell Williams, Madison Williams, Paige Prouse, Christian Prouse and Katie Gourley; 4 great grandchildren: Tyler, Lily, Olivia and Sophia and several nieces and nephews including Helen Stevens, Marilyn Stegner, Betty and Fred Stegner.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren: Jeffrey Williams and Michele Bickel; 3 brothers, one sister, one half-brother and one half-sister.


Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (July 3) at 1:30pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Gedon officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday after 11:00 am until the hour of the service. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
