Mary Kathryn "Kate" Ball, 88 of Vienna passed away Sept. 19, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.
She was born August 12, 1925 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Francis Hobart and Louise Samuels Taylor. She was a graduate of Belpre High School. In 1989 she retired from Camden Clark Hospital where she worked as an LPN. She was a member of the Family Fitness Center, the "Arthritis Club" and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church, Clara Edna Chapter of the Eastern Star, and Woodmen of the World.
Kate is survived by a son, Charles W. Ball Jr. of Guysville, Ohio; a sister, Barbara Winters of Vienna; her beloved dog, Shadow; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Ball; a daughter, Susanna K. Ball'; two brothers, Edward J. and Francis H. Taylor; and a nephew, Richard Donovan Winters, Jr.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
