Earl Ray Pritt, 74 of West Union, Little Flint Community, passed away at his residence and went to heaven October 7, 2013. He was born July 29, 1939 on Sand Fork, Gilmer County, a son of the late Coy and Dessie (King) Pritt.
Earl was a coal miner and timberman and owned the Boar’s Nest Leather Shop.
Surviving is his wife Ruby Carolyn (Ash) Pritt whom he married October 11, 1992 and six sons: Martin Pritt, Earl Pritt Jr. (Loretta), Robert Pritt (Sherry), Kevin Pritt (Cynthia), Michael Pritt (Doris Taylor) and Stephen Gray (Jamie Barton). He also has six step children: Kenneth Freeman (Monica), Marvin Freeman (Lois), Celeste Noe (Robert), Peggy Brinson (Steve), Phillis McKinney (Jeff) and Dorothy Phillips (Eric).
He also leaves behind three siblings: Jack Pritt, Anne George and Alice Pratt, step brothers: Coy Pritt Jr., Gary Pritt, and Marvin Gray and step sister Patricia Self, five grandchildren, 18 step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and 21 step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Robbie Lee Pritt, sister Carolyn Lou Pritt and granddaughter Stacey (George) Biscomb.
Funeral services will be Thursday 10:30 AM at the McCullough Funeral Home, Pennsboro with Pastor Jeff McKinney officiating. Interment will follow at the West Union Masonic Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-8PM.
