Pearl Tanner, 79, of Walker, WV passed away March 4, 2014 at her daughter's residence in Parkersburg after a courageous battle with cancer that she fought until the end.
She was born in Elizabeth, WV a daughter of the late Lawrence Rockhold and Ines Cross. Pearl was Methodist by faith. She enjoyed a wide variety of music and being close with the ones she loved most. She loved her little poodle Miss Fanny.
Pearl is survived by three children Lorraine Richards (Denver) of Walker, Allen Tanner of Walker, Linda Williams of Parkersburg, four grandchildren Shannon Vitrano (David), Tiffany Williams, Denzil Richards, Misty Tanner, four great grandsons Dennis and Eric Vitrano, Austin Satterfield, Braedon Reich one great granddaughter Mia Williams, two sisters Agnes Keiser, Doris Shriver and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Francis Eugene Tanner, sister Phylis Davis and three brothers Harold, Rocky and Billy Rockhold.
Following her request, Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with private cremation services with no visitation.
The family wishes to thank Hospice for their care and concern during Pearl's illness.
