Clarence V. Lohr, 96 of Belpre, passed away April 13, 2014 at the Muskingum Skilled Rehabilitation Center in Beverly, OH.
He was born in Sistersville, WV, October 1, 1917 the son of the late Martin J. and Anna Martin Lohr.
Clarence proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II and retired from Union Carbide.
Surviving Clarence are his three children David Lohr and Linda of Beverly, OH, James Lohr and Marti of Niceville, FL, Vicki Parrish and Bill of Parkersburg, WV, six grandchildren, Rob Morehead and Sarah Dillon of Parkersburg, Tonja Sowers and Mike of FL, Michael Lohr and Waltraud "Wally" of TX, Dana Hillenbrand and John of Montana, Brenda Hendershot and Mike of Beverly, Eric Keffer and Tiffany of Marietta, ten great grandchildren and one brother James Lohr and Clairabell of Belpre.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of fifty three years Lillian A. Church Lohr, great grandson Stephen Gebert, sister Martha Sanders and brother Russ Lohr.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Zack Waite officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery of Belpre with full military rites by American Legion Post #64 and Marietta VFW. Visitation will be from 10:30 till the time of the service on Thursday.
