Flava Fisher, 93, of Cottageville, WV, passed away April 14, 2014, in Ravenswood Care Center.

She was born January 13, 1921, in Grantsville, WV, the daughter of the late Thomas and Sally (Parsons) Butler. Her husband, James Fisher, son, Charles D. Fisher, and nine brothers and sisters, and a daughter-in-law, Brenda June Fisher, also preceded her in death.

She was the founder, owner and operator of Fisher Mobile Home Park, Cottageville, WV. She was the manager of the Will’o’ Wegee Restaurant in Mt. Alto for several years, and was a clerk for O.J. Morrison’s, and a waitress at the Alpine Restaurant in Ripley. She was a member of the Cottageville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons and their wives, David Fisher of Erlanger, KY, Carl and Becky Fisher, of Bluffton, IN, Donny and Connie Fisher, Michael and Brenda Fisher, and Jeffrey and Kimberly Fisher all of Cottageville; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Service will be 12 noon, Friday, April 18, 2014, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
