Lloyd, Mary Jane

Mary Jane Lloyd, age 80, of Oxford Road, West Union, WV, departed this life on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1934 at Tioga, WV, a daughter of the late Yale and Lena R. Bragg Hall.

Mary Jane was a graduate of Clay-Battelle High School, Blacksburg, WV. She had worked for F.W. Woolworth, El Paso, TX and was co-owner and operator of Lloyd Wrecking of West Union. She was affiliated with the Doddridge County 4-H and the Girl Scouts in Texas and a member of the St. Johannes Lutheran Church, St. Clara, WV.

She is survived by daughters, Phyllis Anne Grace (Jan), West Des Moines, Iowa and Pamela Sue Axton( Charles “Rocky”), West Union, WV; sons, Cecil Ford Lloyd Jr.(Kathryn), Rocky Point, MD and Alan Scott Lloyd(Lisa Cumberledge), West Union, WV; grandchildren, Mitchell Richards II(Christie), Joshua, Brandon (Jennifer Carrico-Tallman) and Tanner Lloyd, Jeremy Grace(Adrienne), Sarah Sykes(Jeff), Robert Axton(Anne) and Katie Mathers; great-grandchildren, Chase Sampson, Jerome Axton, Zo Axton, Brynn Axton, Requel Richards and Robbie Pratt, Brandon Tallman and Cloe Tallman. Many nieces and nephews and other extended family. The family wishes to give a special thank you to her niece, Grace Ryan.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married July 5, 1950, Cecil Ford Lloyd and one sister, Judy Crawford.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at 11:00 AM from the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV, with the Pastor Erik Nielsen officiating, burial to follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the St. Johannes Lutheran Church- Scholarship fund, 2740 Little Buck Run, New Milton, WV 26411.
