Jacalyn Marlene Hall, 59, of Parkersburg, died April 23, 2014 at her
residence. She was born December 14, 1954 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late James Arthur and Ersaline Cottrell Johnston.
She retired from Public Debt as a film searcher and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She loved her church family, friends and going on vacation to the beach, taking a cruise and the Amish Country. She also enjoyed country music. Most importantly she helped raise and care for her grandchildren, who were her life.
She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Travis) Alloway of Parkersburg, one son, Jeremy (Jessica) Hall of Parkersburg; five grandchildren, Austin Ross, Katelyn Alloway, Landon Hall, Branson Hall and Sophie Hall; nephew, Kevin Ackerman of Waverly; niece, Brenda Thompson of Mineral Wells and her boyfriend, Mark Hickman, who brightened her day.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith Ackerman and brother, Charles Johnston.
Services will be Saturday 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend David Stilgenbauer officiating.
Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
