Zelma Glennetta Stewart Blevins, 71 of Statesville, NC, passed away, April 29, 2014, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, NC. She was born, June 27, 1942, in St. Marys, WV, a daughter of the late Glen M. and Margaret V. Barnhart Harding. She was a graduate of St. Marys High School, and attended Mitchell College. She had worked for the former Colin Anderson Center, Canteen Vending, and had been an EMT with the former Pleasants County Emergency Squad. Her hobbies included Gardening and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, William B. Blevins, Jr., son, Ron Stewart, Jr. of St. Marys, WV, two daughters, Kathy Danner of Mineral Wells, WV, and Karen Stewart of St. Marys, WV, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog, Missy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Ronald Stewart, half-brother, George Rodgers, her maternal grandparents, George and Roberta Barnhart, and her paternal grandparents, Ben and Angie Harding.
Services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 1:30 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV. Interment will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Ridge, Pleasants County, WV. Friends may call from 2 to 8 P. M. Friday and from 1 to 1:30 P. M. at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
