She is survived by her husband Weldon Laverack whom she married November 22, 1969 in Ashville, NC. She is also survived by brothers Lloyd Bunner (Ruth) of Barberton, OH, Cleo Bunner (Phyllis) of Washington, WV, Leonard Bunner (Marjorie) of Washington, WV; sisters Agnes Smith (Paul) of Mt. Bethel, PA and Connie Grim (Terry) of Parkersburg, WV; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother Lelia Richard Bunner, who died at Olive's birth; her loving father William F. Bunner; stepmother Doris Bunner Kutz; as well as her grandparents John and Eva Bunner, who helped raise her; and her oldest brother Wayne Bunner (Anna Mae).
Olive graduated from Wirt County High School in the Class of 1949. She also graduated from Glenville State College and Marietta College in 1961. She attended Moody Bible College. She worked for many years in the Mission Field; beginning with the Union Mission from 1950 to 1968, where she was House Mother to many young girls that she loved dearly. She also worked from 1968 to 1969 at The Fairmont Mission, 1969 to 1970 at Faith Cottage in Ashville, NC, 1971 to 1976 at the Parkersburg Day Nursery, then retired due to her health; but her heart was always in the mission field.
Services will be Monday 11:00 AM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Dr. Thomas McDowell officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-5 PM.
