An influential and well-known member of the Marietta community has passed away.
Harry J. Robinson, best known for his work with the Sternwheel Festival, died on February 14 in Marietta.
Robinson a native of Washington County, attended Marietta College and was active in the business community as a certified public accountant.
Robinson served as the chairman of the Sternwheel Festival's fireworks for many years and also owned and operated the Lafayette Hotel from 1975-1985.
He is survived by his wife and two sons.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Hadley Funeral Home, Reno Chapel.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 20, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hadley Funeral Home.
