Monkey Bread



A great recipe to cook with your friends and family, perfect for breakfast!

-3 (12 ounce) pkgs of refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough

-3 cups white sugar

-6 teaspoons ground cinnamon

-1 stick butter or margarine

-OPTIONAL- add more or less to your liking

-1/2 chopped walnuts

-1/2 cup raisins


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease one 9 or 10 inch bundt cake or tube pan.

Melt butter in sauce pan on low. While waiting for the butter to melt, mix white sugar and cinnamon in plastic bag.

Cut biscuits into quarters, and drop 6 to 8 biscuit pieces in the melted butter, coating them thoroughly. Move the butter covered biscuits into the cinnamon/sugar bag, and shake, covering the pieces completely.

Arrange in the bottom of the pan, creating layers. Repeat until all the biscuits are covered with butter, cinnamon and sugar, and layered in the pan.

If you want to use nuts and/or raisins to add some flair, arrange them within the layers of biscuits, using more or less to your liking.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Let bread cool in pan for about 10 minutes, then turn out onto a plate. Let cool on plate for 5-10 minutes, and lift pan straight up.

Now all that's left is for you to pick apart, and ENJOY!
