Chef Yancy 1/22/09: Smoked Gouda & Cheddar Cheese Fondue


2 cups heavy cream
1 cup smoked Gouda cheese (shredded)
1/2 cup of cheddar cheese (shredded)
2 teaspoons chicken base
Salt, pepper, & garlic to your taste.


Heat heavy cream over a double boiler until temperature is approximately 175 to 185 degrees.

Add all shredded cheeses and salt, pepper, and garlic.

Turn heat on low, stirring occasionally, until all cheeses are completely melted.

Serve in bread bowl with favorite finger foods, or over cooked broccoli, baked potatoes, or tortilla chips and enjoy!
