Daybreak 3/05/09: Chef Yancy's Green Eggs And Ham French Toast

Ingredients

2 eggs
1/4 cup of heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 tablespoon powered sugar or as needed
Maple syrup as needed
Whip cream as needed
4 fresh strawberries
Cinnamon raisin bread loaf (cut into slices)

Directions

To dye the outside of the egg green, mix together 1 teaspoon of vinegar, 1/2 cup of water, and a couple drops of green food coloring.
Place in water for 3-5 minutes or until egg is desired green.

In medium skillet on medium heat melt butter so that it allows bread to brown.

Mix together egg, heavy cream, vanilla, cinnamon, until blended well.

Take sliced cinnamon bread and dredge through mixture. Place in skillet until golden brown taking approximately 2-3 minutes on each side.

Top with confectionery or powered sugar, your favorite maple syrup, fresh cut strawberries, garnish with whip cream. Enjoy!
