Daybreak 1/28: Chef Yancy's Turkey Sausage Stuffed Peppers


2 pounds ground turkey
1 tablespoon sage
1/4 tablespoon red pepper flakes
1/4 tablespoon granulated garlic
1/2 tablespoon salt
1/4 tablespoon pepper
1/4 cup diced onion
1/2 cup rice (uncooked)
1 quart marinara sauce
4 each red, yellow, green peppers (cleaned & deseeded)
1 cup bread topping


Preheat over to 350 degrees. To make filling, combine turkey sausage, sage, red pepper flakes, garlic, salt, pepper, diced onion, rice, and 1/4 quart marinara sauce. Mix together until well blended. Add stuffing to clean peppers, top with bread crumbs. Add remainder of marinara sauce to bottom of baking dish ans set peppers in sauce, cover, bake for approximately 15 minutes or until browned. Serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy!
