Daybreak 2/11/10: Chef Yancy's Heart Felt French Toast



6 pieces bread (cut into hearts)
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk or half & half
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
powdered sugar (garnish)
strawberries (garnish, heart shaped)
whip cream (garnish)
maple syrup (to top french toast)


Pre heat skillet to medium high heat. Prepare batter by mixing together, eggs, half & half or milk, vanilla, cinnamon until blended well. Cut bread into heart shapes by knife or large cookie cutters. Dredge through batter and place into buttered skillet. Brown on both sides for approximately 1-2 minutes on each side. Garnish with whip cream, powdered sugar, and your favorite syrup. For the final touch, shape strawberries into hearts, and place on plate with french toast.
