Ohio long-distance swimmer named to International Swimming Hall of Fame

The late long-distance swimmer Walter Poenisch (PAYN'-ish) of central Ohio has been named to the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Marietta College men and women both win their OAC Conference tournament openers; Parkersburg South knocks off George Washington in boys hoops; Williamstown and St. Marys win in girls tournament openers.

Our honoree is Katie Rauch from Warren High School. Katie is a three-sport athlete for the Warriors. She is three-time All-League and All-District basketball player. She has earned All-League and district second team honors on the soccer field.
