The Ohio state high school wrestling tournament takes to the mat in Columbus tomorrow and a pair of belpre wrestlers will be going for the glory.
Mike Waderker and Ashton Packard will both be competing in the Division III tournament at the Schottenstein Center.
Waderker is only in his third year of wrestling, but he earned the District Championship in the 215 pound weight class last weekend.
Mike was also a member of the Golden Eagle football team that made the playoffs last fall. He's quick and he's strong and he's posted 40 wins this season.
Ashton wrestles in the 160 pound class. He finished third in last week's district tournament.
He part of the Eagles Tri-Valley Conference tournament winning effort, and the Golden Eagles run through the post season
Coach Scott Adams said everything has come together at the right time for his team and his tournament bound wrestlers.
The competition gets underway tomorrow afternoon in Columbus
Other area wrestlers who have made the state tournament grade include Marietta's Nate Hupp, who is competing in Division II.
Plus Waterford's Tyler Reed, and Caldwell's
Derek Hesson and Jacob Border.
