(AP) - Chad Ocho Cinco has 15 fewer receptions, 467 fewer yards and one less touchdown than he did after the first eight games of 2007.
The Cincinnati Bengals receiver's 32 catches at this point are his fewest since 2002 and his 312 yards are the least since his rookie season.
The former Chad Johnson legally changed his name before the start of this season. He battled the Bengals' front office throughout the offseason, trying to be traded. He says that dispute may be part of the reason his production is down this year.
Ocho Cinco says it's hard to come back from an offseason like that and expect to be productive or expect the team to use him the same way that they used him in the past.
Even so, he is first in team records in career catches and yards receiving.
