The Parkersburg Big Red boys soccer team lost its 2007 home field debut Thursday.
George Washington eked out a goal in the second half to pull out a 2-1 victory over the 2 time defending state champion Big Reds
Tim Stephens scored Parkersburg's lone goal on a penalty kick in the first half.
Parkersburg is now 2-2 on the season and plays on the road at Huntington on Saturday before returning home to stadium field for a showdown with Parkersburg South on Tuesday.
