BROWNS YOUTH MOVEMENT

(AP) - It's too early to know if the Cleveland Browns are any better. They're certainly younger.

One of the NFL's oldest teams last season, the Browns have
undergone a major infusion of youth. First-year coach Pat Shurmur's
team currently includes 11 rookies and 31 players with three years
of experience or less. Shurmur joked he'll have "fresh legs," but
was serious when he said youth is "no excuse for failure."

General manager Tom Heckert said one of his offseason objectives
was to make the Browns younger and he did that by overhauling
Cleveland's roster.

The Browns lack experience at several vital positions, including
quarterback. Starter Colt McCoy played in just eight games as a
rookie after beginning last season as the team's third-stringer.
