Filkovski Steps Down as Marietta College Football Coach

Jeff Filkovski has stepped down after 5 years heading up the Marietta College football program

The move was announced by MC Athletic Director Larry Hiser on Wednesday.

Filkovski posted a record of 10-40 in five years at the helm of the Marietta program. He led the Pioneers to an upset of No. 7-ranked Otterbein, 25-22, on a last second touchdown pass in 2009.

Filkovski came to Marietta after serving as the offensive coordinator at Heidelberg University where he was named the OAC Co-Assistant Coach of the Year in 2007. Prior to Heidelberg, Filkovski was the offensive coordinator for the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe.

Marietta will begin the process of finding a new head coach.
