White Sulphur Springs— The Callaway Junior Tour Kicked off its 2014 season today at The Greenbrier Resort, where 200 players took to the Meadows course for 2 separate events. In the morning session, Colin Bowles of Oceana took home top honors by shooting a 3-under 67 to win the 13-14 age group along with the United Bank Low Round of the Day. Craig Buchanon caputured 1st place in the 17-18 age group. Abby Roberts of Parkersburg took home the Girls United Bank Low round of the day with a 77 to conclude the morning session.
As the morning round was wrapping up a lightning storm suspended play for roughly an hour, delaying the start of the afternoon round and play wrapped up nearly in the dark. Play was completed and Martinsburg’s Sam Romine was United Bank Low Round of the day for the boys and Jackie Cunningham took home Low round on the girls. Logan Collins, Andy Michael, and Sammy White took home 1st place trophies in the 15-16, 13-14, and 12 and Under divisions respectively.
