Thursday Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell and city and county officials went to Washington Pennsylvania for a preliminary meeting regarding bringing professional baseball back to the Mid Ohio Valley.
But new stadiums don't come cheap. Aside from actually building the stadium, money has to be set aside to buy land for parking and maintenance of the facility.
The question becomes, does a city have to rely on taxpayer money to build a stadium like this?
