Marietta College Basketball Player Arrested

A Marietta College senior basketball player and four year starter was arrested over the weekend.

Marietta Police say 21-year-old Tyler Hammond of Cleveland, Ohio was arrested at 729 Glendale Road in Marietta for OVI and driving left of center.

Hammond was taken to the station where he refused to take a breath test.

Hammond was released to his girlfriend.

School officials were contacted and would not comment on the situation or any disciplinary actions.
