NCAA Dunk Contest

The stars of college basketball are in the Lone Star state this weekend for NCAA Final Four weekend..

Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky and Wisconsin are in Dallas Texas to settle the championship of college hoops.

One of the festivities leading up to Final Four weekend is the dunk contest.

Thursday night former Parkersburg South star Chase Fieler was one of 7 competitors putting on a slamming show.

Chase is a 6 foot 8 senior at Florida Gulf Coast University, and he had some 83 dunks to his credit over the last 2 seasons.

He ran into a bit of bad luck in round one, pulling up on his first attempt. He sheds his jersey to reveal a Dunk City Superman tee shirt . But there was no magic on this night. His second attempt has the ball caromed off the rim. Chase had to rush a third attempt before the time expired, but it was no good and he would not advance past the first round.

Not the finish Chase hoped for, but you have to be one of the nation's best to be invited to the dunk contest.

The competition went on, and here is your winning dunk it's Marcus Lewis from Eastern Kentucky. He goes up and over a buddy in the paint for the throw down.

That sealed the deal Marcus Lewis is the 2014 Final Four dunk champion.
