(AP) - Ohio, which won the Mid-American Conference tournament on Saturday night in Cleveland, was given a No. 13 seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA tournament on Sunday.
The Bobcats, who went 11-5 in the MAC regular season, finished 27-7 overall, and will take on Michigan, a No. 4 seed out of the Big Ten Conference, in the second round on Friday in Nashville, Tenn.
Ohio defeated Toledo, Buffalo and Akron to win the league tourney. The Bobcats have not played a team from the Big Ten yet this season.
The Wolverines finished in third place in the league with a 13-5 record. They are 24-9 overall.
