Talley Addresses Boy Scout Dinner

The Allohak Council of the Boy Scout s of America held its annual Leadership Dinner at the Grand Pointe Center in Vienna.

It's an evening to honor scouting, and to raise money to support the local council. Thanks to the generosity of businesses, fraternal organizations, and the community, the Allohak Council was expected to reach it's $100, 000 goal.

It is a tradition of the dinner to bring in prominent figures from the world of sports. This year former WVU and NFL star Darryl Talley was the guest.

Before the dinner he signed autographs and met with the scouts. He was the guest speaker after the dinner, and shared his experiences with the Mountaineers, and Buffalo Bills.

His proudest moment in sports came when he was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame.

Talley told WTAP that he is honored to speak before scouting groups because he believes in the organization's principles.
