Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary used a strong stretch of basketball in the middle 2 quarters to power past the Warren Warriors 70-51 in the Ohio Boys Div. II Semifinals at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus

The Fighting Irish outscored the Warriors by 10 points in the second quarter and 6 points in the third quarter to break the game open

Nick Wells scored 16 of his 18 points in the first three quarters to lead the Irish, who are going after their seventh state championship

The Warriors were paced by Reece Patton with a game high 21 points, and Michael Hall added 15

The Warriors wrap up an historic season with a 26-2 record that includes Sectional, District, and Regional tournament championships
