Stanley was hired by WTAP in October 2012. He comes to us from Northern Michigan University (NMU) in Marquette, Michigan. He majored in Entertainment and Sports Promotions. In 2009, he graduated from Western Kentucky University (WKU) with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast News and a minor in Athletic Coaching.

Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Stanley knew the moment his parents took him on a tour to Lexington's NBC station and watching broadcasters, Phil Donahue, Tom Brokaw and Dick Vitale, he wanted to start a career in broadcasting.

At WKU, Stanley worked for the student TV newscast, News Channel 12. He was a one-man-band reporter, a video editor, videographer and production assistant. During his stay at NMU, he interned at the PBS station, WNMU where he gained more experience for another student ran newscast, Public Eye News. There, he anchored news and sports, reported breaking news in the Marquette Area and shot video of various events.

Stanley also interned at two NBC affiliated stations, WSMV-TV in Nashville, Tennessee and WLUC in Marquette, Michigan.

He is an AVID fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, Northern Michigan Wildcats, Yankees, Knicks, Lakers, Celtics, Packers, Steelers and Cowboys. Stanley also doesn't mind rooting for the Mountaineers, Thundering Herd, Bobcats or Buckeyes as long as they are not playing UK, NMU or WKU!!! When he is not in the newsroom, he enjoys traveling, watching sports, listening to music, singing, spending time with family and friends and watching TV shows and movies.

He looks forward to getting to know much more about Parkersburg and the Mid-Ohio Valley.
