Officers responded to a crash on Gihon Road around 2:00, Monday
They say Deneen Burgess of Parkersburg was heading west on Gihon when her car crossed the center line and went off the roadway.
The car then hit a guy-wire to a utility police and a fire hydrant,
causing them both to break.
The crash caused a power outage for a short time.
Police arrested Burgess for first offense DUI, no operator's license, no insurance and failure to maintain control.
No one was injured.
Burgess is free on a $1,300 bond.
A car lost control on Gihon Road in Parkersburg crashing into a utility pole and knocking out power to parts of the area Monday morning.
It happened on the 1800 block on Gihon Road.
That's near the Evangelical Methodist Church.
Parkersburg Police were on the scene along with crews from Mon Power working to restore the electricity.
No word yet on what caused the car to veer off the road.
911 Dispatchers say the driver did not have to be taken to the hospital.
