Abby (Kidder) Weppler joined WTAP-TV in July 2006 as a reporter / videographer, soon after graduating from Miami University of Ohio. During college, the Akron native interned at WOIO-WUAB in Cleveland and WCPO in Cincinnati.

Less than six months later, Abby was promoted to the weekend weather anchor position, after catching "the weather bug!"

In July 2007, Abby became the weather anchor and news co-anchor of Daybreak, where she stayed for more than two-and-a-half years.

Shortly before joining WSBT-TV in March 2010, Abby was honored as "Best Weathercaster" by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association. She also met her future husband while in the Mid-Ohio Valley!
