Lauren came to us from WDBJ7 in Roanoke, Virginia where she worked as a Photographer and Editor. She also covered local, high school and college sports around the region.
Lauren grew up in the Roanoke Valley and later moved to Giles County, just outside of Blacksburg, Virginia. After eight years of training and competing as a Level 10 gymnast at Roanoke Academy, Lauren earned a gymnastics scholarship to Rutgers University in New Jersey where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 2006. While in school she worked for the Rutgers University Television Network as a Sports Reporter and Segment Producer. She also had the opportunity to learn financial news as an intern and freelancer at CNBC. Lauren’s efforts at Rutgers University as a student athlete and co-captain for the gymnastics team earned her several awards including the Nobel Award and N4A Wilma Rudolph Student Athlete Achievement Award.
When Lauren isn’t out in the field covering sports, she is working out at the gym or playing recreational sports. Lauren’s love for dancing and music has landed her behind the turntables giving her another title, DJ Sisler.
Lauren is passionate about sports and likes covering local sports where the athletes, coaches, and fans are just as passionate.
