Mollie Lair loves to travel. It is this love that drove her to reporting. Born and raised in Stanford, Kentucky, she loved the small-town feel, but always dreamed of more.
Mollie graduated from Elon University in North Carolina with a major in Broadcast Communications and a minor in Political Science. She was selected as one of 25 Communications Fellows. This honor sent her on trips to Atlanta and L.A. She worked as a reporter for the award-winning news program "Phoenix14 News." During her time as a student, she studied abroad in London where she interned for NBC News London Bureau. In the summer of 2010, she was an intern for CBS Evening News with Katie Couric in New York City. It was through these experiences that she grew to love reporting and the opportunities it afforded her.
She joined the WTAP News team in September 2011 as a nightside reporter. When Mollie isn't in the newsroom she enjoys running, singing, dancing, reading, shopping, and keeping in touch with friends and family.
Mollie left WTAP in October 2013 to accept the weekend/evening anchor/multi media journalist position at KFVS 12 in Cape Girardeau, MO.
