Although now a resident of Florida, Icenhower has never forgotten his Meigs County roots and when approached by the Meigs Band Alumni Booster group to perform a concert to help defray the costs of a new concession for the band at the new Marauder Stadium, he not only agreed to perform, but agreed to do so for free.

Roller Derby

Jun 8, 2013 Doors open at 4:00PM, Bout starts at 5:00PM

Washington County Fairgrounds, 922 Front St Marietta, OH 45750
Live, local, women's roller derby! Jammin' for the Cure is family friendly event with games at halftime for the kids. Come watch the First Settlement Derby Dames take on P.U.R.R..

Roller derby is a fast paced, full contact sport with plenty of spills and thrills!Jammin' for the Cure supports a cause very close to the hearts of the First Settlement Derby Dames. In October of 2012, we celebrated the marriage of Barbie (#40), to Henry Leimkuehler. You may remember him from Smokin Pigs Ash BBQ! Sadly, just a month later, Henry was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma; a rare, chronic, and deadly cancer. While Myeloma is not yet curable, it’s treatable.

FSDD has dedicated Jammin' for the Cure to the Leimkuehler family and Myeloma awareness. A portion of the ticket sales will go toward medical their expenses. Despite Henry’s diagnosis, he and Barbie remain tenacious! FSDD is proud to announce that though they may not be attending, we’ll be serving Smokin’ Pigs pulled pork prepped by the Leimkuehlers themselves! Hard hitting roller derby action and the best BBQ around; you know you can't miss this!
