Tennis season, forgive the pun, is in full swing which means a lot of people are hitting the courts even in the heat.
But beware, even the most seasoned of tennis players can become injured.

In the world of Roger Federer and Andy Roddick, injuries are serious business.
Displaced hips, torn ligaments, even back problems can put a professional tennis player out of action for months.
And according to Dr. George Branche, an orthopedic surgeon and medical director for the Legg Mason Tennis Tournament, even weekend warriors can develop serious tennis injuries that could last a lifetime.
"Unless you're in the physical condition to handle the directional changes and pounding, it takes a bigger toll on your body."
Forty-two year old, Sean Bugg has played tennis off and on since he was nine years old.
Although he'll never grace the courts of Flushing Meadows he can sympathize with the pros.
"I've had ankle sprains, shoulder injuries, knee problems."
How can you avoid common tennis injuries?
Branche says stay flexible, and eat well.
Having a good diet full of protein, can keep bones and muscles stronger.
And buy the right equipment.
The proper shoes and racquet are crucial.
But most importantly, Branche warns if you're injured, allow time to heal before you go back to the game.
"You could re-injure yourself again, you could injure other body parts that aren't as conditioned as they should be."
So give yourself time.
It's the best way to keep the ball in your court.
