This 15-year-old likes to do things most teenagers like to do- go to the movies, shop, and go out to eat- but one thing is missing in Ashley's life that she desperately wants for her 16th birthday Sept. 24.
She told me she wanted a family, more than anything else, for her birthday.
Ashely currently lives in foster care and has moved around a lot in her young life. Already she's wiser beyond her years.
This girl with big blue green eyes is focused on finding a family and doing well in school.
"I like history, English, art, and science. History is my best subject in school," she said.
This sophomore in high school has a wide range of interests.
"Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Little House on the Prairie," she said but that's not all.
"I like to sing dance, play softball, and volleyball," Ashley said.
But it's not the same without a mom and dad to share these experiences.
"I want a family that just does ordinary things, just hang out and go places and stuff."
This laid back girl has a big heart for animals and would love to live on a farm.
"I like cats, dogs, horses. My favorite dogs are German Shepherds," she said.
Ashley has never been horseback riding or camping but these are things she'd like to do some day with a forever family.
