When you were 11, what made you happy? Some say playing with friends, others say watching endless TV, but this month's Wednesday's Child says learning makes her happy.
Eleven-year old Brittany is talking about painting. It brings out her creative side.
"I paint gardens and houses, but usually they are crooked ‘cause I can't get them straight up," says the sweet red-head.
Brittany spent the day with us at the Wood County Library sharing her passions and hopes for the future. It's filled with lots of love and laughter.
"I like to play with kids, no kids where I live now, where I could play with."
"I would like to have lots of brothers and sisters."
One day soon she would like to snuggle up to a mom and dad just like you would with a good book you never want to put down, and the Mid-Ohio Valley is where her bookmark is nestled.
"A family that lived on a farm, many children, lived in the woods."
Other things that make this 4th grader glow:
"I love horses and dogs and cats!"
Brittany also enjoys school. Spelling is her favorite subject. She likes Christian and rap music, an unlikely combination! She is also working on being more of a social butterfly. All she needs in a little "TLC" to help her open up a new chapter in her life.
