The saying goes "sisterhood is not a destination, but a journey." That journey hasn't always been easy for Courtney, Brittany and Tesla, but it has created an unbreakable bond.

Courtney is 14, and like any other teenager, this girl loves to gab with her girlfriends.

"We like to go to football games and movies, talk on the phone for hours," she says.

She craves competition and has a passion for poetry.

"I'm not very good with expressing myself verbally, so i usually just write it down on paper or draw."

It’s a true talent that could take her to the top.

"I would love to have books published and have it in the mall, sign books," she says.

Brittany is the middle child. This 12-year-old is quite the performer that always draws a crowd.

"I like singing. Me and my sister make up songs," she says.

When she's not entertaining, she loves going to church or curling up with a good book.

"I can read all kinds of different books and won't know if I'm mad or sad. I think I'm in the book."

Tesla is nine. She doesn't ask for much, just a shoulder to lean on and a hand to hold. She loves dolls and dreams of becoming a doctor.

"They're nice and they help you when you're hurt," she says.

She's a little camera shy, but her true self shines through when she's outside playing with her sisters. Together the girls make quite a group. If you ask them to describe the perfect parents, they say just a pair that will love and accept all three. They are a picture perfect pack, praying for a permanent place to call home.

"Just people that want me there and love me, that's all," Brittany says.

November is National Adoption Month. The theme is "You don't have to be perfect to be a perfect parent - there are thousands of teens in foster care who would love to put up with you."
