An infectious laugh, and a shy smile. It doesn't take long for it to rub off on you, when Brittany swings into your life.
This 12-year old loves pop culture, and keeping up with the latest fashions, even when it means getting a little crafty.
Her favorite star? "I like Matthew McConaughey," she says.
No surprise there!
What is surprising, is a certain thoughtfulness this gal possesses that goes well beyond her years.
Carol Phipps from Mission West Virginia knows Brittany well.
"She's a very thoughtful person. When I see her, she's always giving me little gifts, or sending me cards. There's just a special child that is always thinking about other people, and she's just one of those children," she says.
While Brittany daydreams of someday serenading on center stage, she is also putting together a future that will make a difference.
"I want to help the community, and people who are sick and dying of diseases. So I want to become a doctor too, to help people with medication and everything," Brittany says.
But it doesn't end there! Though sometimes trying, Brittany is eager to use her own experiences, to offer a helping hand.
"I want to stand up for people who don't have homes," she says.
So Brittany grows, piece by piece, waiting for the right family to come along and cheer her on. And even though this project isn't finished yet, it won't take long for her to be tied to your heart.
"She needs someone to teach her to drive, someone to teach her etiquette, she needs someone to be there with her. She's just a wonderful person and needs a chance," Carol says.
