She loves swimming, getting her hair and nails done and is all about the girl power. Meet 12 year old Brittany. She's this months Wednesday's Child.
One of Brittany's favorite things to do is swimming, so we took her to the Marietta Aquatic Center for a day of fun in the sun.
Brittany is very active and loves to play outside with her friends. She also is a fort building master. She tells us how to build the perfect fort.
"I just take a whole bunch of blankets and put a whole bunch of chairs and connect them," Brittany says.
Being in the fort is like her own little paradise. "I just use it to get away from everything and read a book or something. It takes you out of the place that you're in at that point.
Brittany also loves reading. "I like stories because they can be interesting. I like mystery novels and kids books and adventure books."
While at the Marietta Aquatic Center she wasn't scared to go down either of the two big slides. "That was the most amazing thing I've ever done in my life," she says.
Brittany is also very crafty. "I like to make things for my family and friends. Like stuff out of paper, maybe a card or picture or coloring page.
She calls herself a 'girly-girl'. "I love shopping and getting my nails done."
Brittany loves animals. She says horses are her favorite. "We have horses and I get to ride them a lot and groom them."
She is ready for a forever family and already has in mind exactly what she would like to do with them. "Just normal things. Playing ball out in the yard. Playing with animals with them. Sharing secrets with them."
Brittany wants a mom and a dad and, "a sister, maybe a brother."
"I'm ready for one because I want to make a difference in my life," she says about knowing this is the right time for her to find the perfect family match.
"I'm ready to have a family and I'd appreciate whatever I got."
