Sheena Steffen

Sheena Steffen joined the WTAP News team in May 2017 as a weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter.

Sheena was born and raised in a small town in Indiana called Bluffton.

Sheena attended Purdue University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Meteorology. While at Purdue, she was the meteorologist for the new student-ran news broadcast program called Fast Track Live that aired live on a local channel.

Growing up, Sheena loved being in the know. She would always watch the news with her parents before she went to bed, as well as occasionally read the newspaper. To this day Sheena still enjoys reading the paper while sipping on her morning coffee, and watching the news whenever she can.

Sheena was always fascinated with the weather, as well as informing people about it. Explaining how it works and why weather does what it does has always been enjoyable to Sheena. Her friends and family always knew if there was a severe storm expected they would find her outside chasing it.

When Sheena is not out chasing storms or reading the paper, she loves to hike, go white water rafting, and play many sports, including basketball and volleyball.

Sheena is excited to call the Mid-Ohio Valley her home, and she can't wait to see what the area has to offer!

She left WTAP in March 2018.
