VIENNA, W.Va.(WTAP)- Galentine’s day is a non-official holiday right before Valentine's Day where women celebrate other women.
Today a boutique in Vienna partnered with other businesses to recognize that comradery.
Peyton and Peppy Boutique hosted 8 businesses at its store, in honor of Galentine's day.
The un-official holiday originated from a tv show and has since become very popular.
The second annual shopping event featured special discounts, giveaways, and promoted other small business in the area.
Stephanie Langlois, owner of Peyton and Peppy, says, “Galentine’s day is just about celebrating your best girlfriends. I think we get so hyped up in valentine’s day, that this is a nice way to celebrate ourselves and also our closest girlfriends and kind of build each other up. This is the second annual one that we have done since we’ve opened the boutique. Last year we hosted it we were a mobile boutique, this year we have our own space and that’s exciting because we can invite other small businesses to come join in with us.”
Some businesses at the boutique included the Minted Vintage, Marietta Boot Camp, and Do Terra.
