PARKERSBURG, W.Va.(WTAP)- Trips to the doctor can sometimes be costly.
So today Camden Clark Medical Center held an event to make those trips a little more affordable.
The hospital held free and reduced screenings.
Those in attendance could get blood screenings, bone density scans, and EKG’s at reduced costs.
The tests were provided to anyone in the Mid-Ohio valley area who were under insured or uninsured.
Participants say they appreciated the event.
Scott Gainer, someone who took advantage of the screenings, explains what he got results from and the importance of it. “Just to get a checkup, blood work, and EKG. Just trying to look after our health, wife and I. Definitely a need. You know kind of preventive maintenance. It’s good for the community, economical and better to find out earlier than later.”
The quarterly reduced cost screening event lasted from seven to eleven this morning.
