Athens County man indicted on felony charges for alleged thefts from 5 homes

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WTAP) - An Athens County man is indicted on multiple felony charges after he allegedly stole items from five homes across Athens County.

Ronald Keith Ash 37, of Glouster, Ohio, was indicted by the Athens County Grand Jury on Nov. 5, 2018 on multiple felony counts after police say he stole items from 5 houses and later sold the stolen goods at pawn shops.

Ronald Keith Ash II, 37, of Glouster, Ohio, was indicted by the Athens County Grand Jury on Monday, on three felony counts of Receiving Stolen Property, three felony counts of Theft From a Person in a Protected Class, one felony count of Burglary, one felony count of Theft, and two misdemeanor counts of Receiving Stolen Property.

Athens County prosecutors say Ash allegedly stole numerous items from at least five different homes in Athens County and later pawned the stolen goods at local pawn shops.

Ash is being held in the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail on a warrant on indictment and is scheduled to be arraigned on November 14.

This case was investigated by the Athens County Sheriff’s Office and the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office.
