Boone County truck driver ID'd as victim in Route 50 crash in Doddridge County

DODDRIDGE COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) - UPDATE 5/15/18 10:43 A.M.

Police have identified the man who died in a two-vehicle accident last week on Route 50 in Doddridge County.

West Virginia State Police say as Wayne Prichard, 40, of Boone County, was driving east on Route 50 near the Sunnyside exit when his tractor trailer struck a car pulling onto the highway.

Prichard died at the scene after his tractor trailer rolled over.

The driver of the car was not injured in the crash.

One person is dead after an accident on Route 50 in Doddridge County Monday.

According to the West Virginia Department of Transportation, a tractor-trailer carrying construction equipment rolled over on Route 50 eastbound near Sunnyside Road.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was killed.

The passenger was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown and is in critical condition.

Officials say multiple people are injured after a vehicle accident on Route 50 near Sunnyside in Doddridge County.

All eastbound lanes of Route 50 are currently shut down.
