PARKERSBURG, W Va. (WTAP) - A unique new exhibit opens up at the Parkersburg Art Center.
SW Resources artists from its Marble Tree division unveiled the Windows of Opportunity exhibit Sunday.
All of the 73 pieces, created by six different artists, are made from recycled magazine pieces.
The diverse subject matter ranges from landscapes and animals to sports and music. It all caps off four years of work.
"All of the individuals who have done these pieces are individuals with disabilities," noted Angela Phelps, public relations manager for SW resources, "and it's just amazing how much talent they have."
"They're such meticulous work," art center executive director Abby Hayhurst said. "I mean look at all these tiny tiny pieces of paper, like billions and millions, and the amount of patience it takes to make one of these, oh my gosh. These are fabulous."
The exhibit is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 to 5 p.m. It runs until May 12.
